Browsing data. The systems hosting the site acquire, in their ordinary operation, data whose transmission is implicit in Internet protocols: IP address, time of the request, page requested, outcome, browser type and operating system. They are needed to serve the pages and keep the service secure.

Data provided voluntarily. The contact form collects name, email address, telephone number (optional), reason and text of the enquiry. Spontaneously emailing the addresses published on the site entails acquiring the sender's address and the data contained in the message.

Data collected through cookies. Only after consent, the site collects usage statistics through Google Analytics 4. The full list of cookies, with durations and purposes, is in the Cookie Policy.

Operation of the site and security (browsing data): legitimate interest of the controller in providing the service and preventing its abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Replying to enquiries (contact form and email): performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request (Art. 6(1)(b)).

Usage statistics (Google Analytics 4): consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a)), which can be withdrawn at any time from the cookie preferences panel.

Data are processed with electronic means, under appropriate security measures, by authorised personnel. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

To operate the site, the controller relies on providers that process data on its behalf or receive technical data:

Netlify, Inc. (USA): hosts the site and receives and stores the messages sent through the contact form.

Sanity AS (Norway): hosts the site's content and images, which the browser downloads from its servers.

Google LLC (USA): provides Google Analytics 4, active only after consent.

OpenFreeMap and Komoot's Photon (Germany): provide the maps and address search on the stockists page; they receive the IP address when it is used.

Data may also be disclosed to advisers and professionals bound by confidentiality, and to public authorities where the law so requires. Data are neither published nor handed to third parties for purposes of their own.

Some providers are based in the United States: Netlify (hosting and contact form) and Google (statistics, only after consent). The transfer rests on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where needed, on the Standard Contractual Clauses. Sanity and Komoot are based in the European Economic Area.

Enquiries sent through the contact form or by email are kept for as long as needed to handle them and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact.

Browsing data are kept for a few days, unless needed to investigate unlawful acts against the site.

Google Analytics event data are kept for at most 14 months, in a form that does not allow direct identification of the user.

Data subjects have the right to obtain access to their data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, to object to processing, to receive a copy in a portable format and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Requests should be addressed to info@piedimont.it and are answered within one month.

Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (Art. 77 GDPR): www.garanteprivacy.it.
